The Newark Police Department has arrested Dr. Pierre Leroy, 84, of Newark for allegedly making illegal sexual contact with a 35-year-old female patient.

Police reported that the victim visited Leroy’s office at 249 East Main Street, Newark on April 12th for medical treatment. During a medical examination, Leroy allegedly had unlawful sexual contact with the victim. Details were not released.
The victim reported the incident to police on April 16th Newark Police launched an investigation with the Attorney General’s Office and the Division of Professional Regulations.
Following that investigation, Leroy was arrested on May 4th, on five counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact. Leroy was released after posting $2, 500 secured bond.
