A Superior Court judge has upheld a judgment against a  local architect.

M&T Bank was awarded more than $350,000 in a case involving Michael Carbonell III, of the former Mockell Carbonell firm.  At one time, Mockell Carbonell at one time was one of Delaware’s largest architectural firms.

The firm had been located on the Avenue of the Arts on the Wilmington Riverfront and was one of the pioneers in the thriving area of Wilmington.

M&T was granted a  $335,659., judgment,  plus attorneys’ fees and collection expenses of $13,021,  plus interest.

The decision noted that Carbonell did not contest the legal action seeking the money.
