This afternoon and tonight,  Bear’s Texas Roadhouse will donate 15 percent of its sales to local fire companies who responded to a fire at the restaurant off Route 40.

Proceeds will go to Christina Fire Company, Aetna Hose Hook &Ladder company, Wilmington Manor Fire Company, Delaware City Fire Company and Goodwill Fire Company

The restaurant recently extended its opening hours by an hour to 3 p.m.,  rather than 4 p.m. The budget priced steakhouse  is open until 10 p.m.

“Thanks to the quick work of these fire companies, the restaurant was closed less than 24 hours. Texas Roadhouse wants to say thank you and give back to the folks that supported the restaurant,” a release stated.
