The committees working as part of the  Transition Team  of Gov. John Carney will hold public meetings on Saturday, December 17, to hear the thoughts, ideas, and concerns of Delawareans on the issues facing our state.  All four meetings will take place at Dover Downs at times listed below:

  • 9:00 a.m. – State Budget & Workforce Committee and Education & Healthy Families Committee
  • 1:00 p.m. – Economic Development & Healthy Environment Committee and Public Safety & Strong Neighborhoods Committee

“The vision that I’ve laid out for our state is one in which every Delawarean has a chance to be successful.  To turn that vision into a reality, I need to hear the ideas and concerns of Delawareans who are working every day to make our state a better place.  I encourage anyone who would like to participate in the transition process to attend one of these meetings and share your thoughts on how we can work together to lead Delaware into the future.”

Members of the public who wish to speak with one of Governor-elect Carney’s transition committees will be asked to sign up on a first come, first served basis.  Those unable to attend in person can share their thoughts with Governor-elect Carney by sending comment through his Transition website,http://transition.delaware.gov/.

The location of the meetings is Dover Downs, 1131 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
