Smyrna businesses holding a ‘craft crawl’ on Saturday

Painted Stave Distilling, Blue Earl Brewing Company and Smyrna’s  new Brick Works Brewing & Eats are wasting no time in teaming up.

The three businesses  and the   Delaware Brew Bus will hold  Smyrna’s first ever Craft Crawl on Saturday, July 23 from 4 pm. to 9  p.m.

Transportation between locations will be  provided by  Delaware Brew Bus at no charge.  The bus will be driving a continuous loop so participants can hop on and off at their own pace. Blue Earl will have live music offered by  Gary Cogdell & The Complainers.

Painted Stave will be releasing their third  batch of Delaware’s inaugural bourbon, Diamond State Bourbon Whiskey on Friday, July 22 at 4: p.m.

Painted Stave Distilling opened as Delaware’s first stand-alone craft distillery in November 2013. The distillery is housed in a restored 1940’s era movie theater  that produces   spirits including Candy Manor Gin, Silver Screen Vodka, Off The Hoof Scrapple Vodka, and Time Warp Espresso Vodka as well as numerous experimental whiskeys, gins, and brandies

Blue Earl Brewing Co. was the seventh brewery to open doors in Delaware in May of 2015. The 11,535-square-foot facility has 12 taps and 20 barrels. Brews include   American ales, Belgian specialties, German ale and lager, as well as a   variety of seasonal offerings throughout the year.. The website is (blueearlbrewing.com)

Brickworks Brewing, a partnership between  restaurateur Kevin Reading of Abbott’s Grill and   Mispillion River Brewing, both of Milford.  Brick Works  opened last month. The website is  (brickworksde.com)
