The Technology Forum of Delaware in partnership with The World Affairs Council of Delaware will present Cyber Security: Strategic Thinking in a Threatening World.
The keynote speaker is Robert D. Childs, Ph.D. Former Chancellor, National Defense University iCollege.
The dinner is slated to be held on May 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Arsht Hall on the University of Delaware Wilmington Campus at 2600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Childs is the former Chancellor of the National Defense University iCollege and Deputy to the President for Cyber and Information.
He is currently the CEO of iClear, LLC, an international cyber leadership, and education consulting firm.
Childs’ underlying belief is that only through building a strong foundational and structural framework of governance, policy, architecture and law can the appropriate strategies and tools be put into place to build a sound cyber defense.
More than 70 percent of cyber strategies fail because leadership throws money at solutions rather than having a sound, thought-out planning process within a strategic framework, a release stated.
The event is exclusively for members of the Tech Forum. A membership is available that would allow those interested to attend the event,
