Burger and beer pairings coming in May to Iron Hill

Beginning on Sunday, May 1, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will kick off their annual Burger Month celebration, featuring a different burger each day throughout the month of May for $13.50 each.  In addition, for the first time, Iron Hill will feature a  beer pairing with each burger; the combo will be  $16.50 each, available for one day only.

May 1 – Hangover Burger with fried egg, bacon, sharp cheddar, sriracha aioli and crispy onion rings, served with potato tots and paired with Ore House IPA.

May 2 – Bacon Lover’s Burger with tomato-bacon jam, applewood bacon, bacon aioli and smoked gouda, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 3 – Voodoo Burger with grilled peppers and onions, smoked gouda and spicy voodoo barbecue sauce, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 4 – The Gilroy Burger with sweet roasted garlic spread, mushrooms, spinach, Gorgonzola and bacon, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 5 – El Fuego Hamburguesa with jalapeño pepper poppers, pepper jack and habanero aioli, paired with Ore House IPA

May 6 – The Fun-Ghi Burger with exotic mushrooms, caramelized onions, gruyere, truffle mayo and arugula, paired with White Iron Wit

May 7 – Kentucky Derby Burger with applewood bacon, pimento cheese, bourbon glaze and tomato, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 8 – Mama’s Brunch Burger with sunny-side egg, garlic and herb cream cheese, prosciutto and exotic mushroom relish, served with potato tots and paired with Seasonal Belgian Ale

May 9 – The Californian with mashed avocado, pea shoots, ponzu mayonnaise, grilled peppers and Monterey Jack, paired with Ore House IPA

May 10 – The Gringo Burger with pickled jalapeños, bacon, red onion jam, chipotle-1,000 Island and smoked gouda, paired with Seasonal IPA

May 11 – Farmhouse Burger with pulled pork, sunny-side egg, applewood bacon, shallot aioli, barbecue sauce and cheddar, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 12 – Smokehouse Burger with apple-smoked bacon, smoked gouda, barbecue onions, lettuce and tomato, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 13 – The Asian Elvis Burger with spicy peanut sauce, apple-smoked bacon, pickled vegetables, cucumber and sriracha mayonnaise (“Trust us; it’s good!”) paired with Light Lager

May 14 – Puebla Burger with fire-roasted poblano peppers, griddled onions, mushrooms and Monterey Jack, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 15 – The Upscale Diner Burger with sunny-side egg, Swiss, herb-roasted exotic mushrooms and bacon and shallot-black pepper aioli, served with potato tots and paired with White Iron Wit

May 16 – Sweet Caroline Burger with pulled pork, mustard sauce, griddled sweet onions and coleslaw, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 17 – Steakhouse Burger with smoky bacon-onion marmalade, mushrooms, Swiss and creamy steak sauce, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 18 – Black Forest Burger with roasted exotic mushrooms, Swiss and horseradish sauce, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 19 – Sweet and Smoky Blue Burger with blue cheese, caramelized onions, 1,000 Island, applewood bacon and arugula, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 20 – Grandpa Munster Burger with apple-smoked bacon, griddled onions, muenster and barbecue sauce, paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 21 – The Armed Forces Tribute Burger with bacon, American, onion rings, bread-and-butter pickles and barbecue sauce, paired with Light Lager

May 22 – Double Dutch Burger with scrapple, pork roll, sunny-side egg, maple mayo and cheddar, served with tater tots and paired with Vienna Red Lager

May 23 – Tombstone Burger with a fried onion stack, smoked bacon, cheddar and barbecue sauce, paired with Seasonal IPA

May 24 – The Blackstone Burger with gruyere, 1,000 Island, tomatoes, rosemary bacon and arugula, paired with Seasonal Belgian Ale

May 25 – The Big Cheesowski with balsamic onions, chipotle ketchup, lettuce, tomato, white sharp cheddar and provolone, paired with Light Lager

May 26 – Poppy’s a Little Sloppy Burger with brisket, gravy, muenster and fried onion rings, paired with Pig Iron Porter

May 27 – Ode to Jerry Garcia Burger with ‘shrooms, Monterey Jack, caramelized onions and roasted garlic aioli, paired with White Iron Wit

May 28 – Brewmaster’s Burger with beer-braised onions, bacon, Swiss, cheddar and roasted garlic aioli, paired with Ore House IPA

May 29 – The Good Day, Sunshine Burger with sunny-side egg, American, bacon, lettuce, tomato and maple mayo, served with potato tots and paired with Light Lager

May 30 – Pic-a-nic Burger with bacon, American, bread-and-butter pickles, lettuce, tomato and special sauce, served with a side of potato salad and paired with Light Lager

May 31 – Alpine Burger with fried onion rings, bacon, Swiss and horseradish sauce, paired with Vienna Red Lager

Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to 11 locations across the mid-Atlantic.  Iron Hill will debut their 12th location, in Huntingdon Valley, PA, in 2016.

The Iron Hill name comes from  a Newark landmark that was the site of mining and reportedly  played a role as an observation post in a battle during the Revolutionary War.
