Kendle named Synchrogenix  CEO

Synchrogenix Information Strategies Inc., a regulatory writing company headquartered in Wilmington,  announced the appointment of Kelley Kendle as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Company founder and former CEO  Ellen Barrose will serve as an advisor to the president.

Kendle has been a part of  Synchrogenix since 2003. Initially joining the company as the Director of Finance, she saw an opportunity for growth focused on regulatory writing services to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sector.

Kendle has been instrumental in the development of services and the cultivation of staff to address the needs of the industry. Kendle serves as both an internal and external subject matter expert. Kendle said, “I know we have the ability, the energy, and the commitment to make this next phase a huge success.  I can’t wait to see all that we can achieve together”.

Synchrogenix has seen revenue increase by over 150 percent since 2010.

As CEO,  Kendle will continue to drive the company’s strategic growth, business process, and organizational dynamics.

Synchrogenix was previously acquired by Certara, a company that encompasses a group of separate entities operating together to provide regulatory writing services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries.

Synchrogenix Information Strategies Inc.; Synchrogenix Europe, Ltd.; and Synchrogenix Philippines, Inc. (SPI) are all wholly owned subsidiaries.

Home loan bank elects Brooks

The Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank) announced Glenn R. Brooks was elected to the board. He is  Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Leon N. Weiner & Associates, Inc.,  a Wilmington-based home building, development and property management firm.

Brooks is responsible for the Weiner organization’s development activities, including coordinating the company’s land planning, financial application and equity syndication processes. He is a member of the firm’s board of directors.

Brooks served on FHLBank’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council between 2004 and 2012. He served as Vice Chair in 2006 and 2007 and as Chair from 2008 to 2010.

Brooks holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He is active in housing and community activities and boards, including the Multifamily Board of Trustees and serving as 2015 Chairman of the Housing Credit Group of thee National Association of Homebuilders. He resides in West Chester, Pa.

Incumbent Delaware Member Director  Lynda A. Messick, Chief Executive Officer of Community Bank Delaware, in costal Delaware, was e-elected as previously announced by the bank.

As an intermediary between global capital markets and local lenders, FHLBank Pittsburgh provides readily available liquidity, as well as affordable housing and community development opportunities, to member financial institutions  in the region.

Fan re-elected president of Medical Society

Nancy Fan, M.D, an Obstetrician/Gynecologist who practices at Women to Women OB/GYN in Wilmington and is on the staff of Saint Francis Healthcare, was re-elected to lead the Medical Society of Delaware for the 2014-2015 year during the professional organization’s 225th Annual Meeting on November 22.

Dr. Fan is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn. She completed her residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She has served as Chair of the Medical Society of Delaware School Health Committee from 2006-to 2013 and was Chair of the Young Physicians Section from 2010 to 2012.

“I am very honored and pleased to serve as president for a second year in one of our nation’s oldest and hardest-working medical societies,” Dr. Fan said. “I believe that with our innovative initiatives, such as the Patient-Centered Medical Home and the Accountable Care Organization, as well as our steadfast commitment to community outreach through efforts like the Campaign for Kids … “It’s obvious,” the Medical Society will continue to fulfill our strong mission,  to  guide, serve and support Delaware physicians, promoting the practice and profession of medicine to enhance the health of our communities.”

Other officers who will serve for the coming year include:

Dorothy Moore, M.D., President-Elect; Prayus T. Taylor, M.D., Vice President;  Harry A Lehman, III, M.D., Secretary; Randeep S. Kahlon, M.D., Treasurer; and Leo W. Raisis, M.D., Speaker of the Council.

Montgomery named  court administrator 

The Delaware Supreme Court has selected William S. Montgomery,  to fill  the vacancy created by the retirement of Steve Taylor who has led the Court’s administrative staff for 30 years and served with the Supreme Court for 37 years.

Taylor recently announced his retirement plans and will officially step down from his position on January 1, 2015.

Montgomery served as Chief of Staff for the City of Wilmington under Mayor James M. Baker from 2001 until 2012. He also ran for mayor.

Montgomery also  served as Director of the Legislative Council, Division of Research for the Delaware General Assembly, from 1995 to 2001 where he directed this non-partisan division of the General Assembly responsible for drafting legislation and revising the Delaware Code.

He implemented  technology to improve legislative research and developed the Delaware Administrative Code and the monthly Delaware Register of Regulations providing a timely, comprehensive, public, online source for State agency regulations, a court release stated.

After leaving the Mayor’s office in 2012, Montgomery took on the position of Executive Director of the Delaware Zoological Society in 2013. He has also served since 2013 as a Senior Adviser with Econsult Solutions, lnc., a Philadelphia based firm which provides business and public policy makers with economic consulting services and analyses across a broad range of subject areas.

LeNoir named development director

PAWS for People, a Newark-based pet therapy organization, announced  the appointment of Rosemarie LeNoir as Director of Development.  In this role,

LeNoir will have responsibility for leading a comprehensive development program aimed toward enhancing the growth of PAWS for People.

This includes strategic planning, annual giving, business and foundation support, event sponsorship, endowment growth and maintaining/cultivating relationships with donors, community organizations and volunteers. Previously, LeNoir held positions as Director of Development for the Delaware Chapter of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic Region; part-time Director of Development for DFRC, Inc.; and Regional Development Director for the American Cancer Society, Delaware/Delmarva Region.

A graduate of University of Delaware, LeNoir is a certified paralegal and has extensive volunteer experience with Northern New Castle County  Family Promise and as a Certified Master Food Educator with the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension program.

PAWS for People is a volunteer non-profit organization that provides one-on-one animal-assisted therapy and comfort for children and adults with physical, social, and emotional challenges.
