Armed robber fires bullet into ceiling at Walgreens near Wilmington

State Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Walgreens at 3301 Lancaster Pike, west of Wilmington, Wednesday night.

Troopers reported two masked black male suspects entered the store. One suspect produced a handgun and fired one round into the ceiling of the business. He then demanded money from a cashier. Suspects are described as follows:

– Male about 5 ft. 11 i n  tall, 185 pounds, wearing dark clothing, masked and carrying a handgun.

-Male about 5 ft , 8  in tall, 170 pounds, wearing a light colored  coat. mask and armed with a handgun.

The Delaware State Police is asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 extension 6. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES), or through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at
