Delaware State Police have identified the driver and pedestrian following an apparent hit and run accident that took the life of a pedestrian. Troopers identified the victim as Francis J. Zgleszewski, 33, of Wilmington and the driver of the red Honda Civic as Kristen Murani, of Bear. No arrests have been made in the case.
The victim was found lying in the southbound lane of Glasgow Avenue, south of Newark, just south of Cann Road. Troopers said the man was struck and run over by the car, which left the area and continued south on Glasgow Avenue. Zgleszewsk was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evidence at the scene indicated the vehicle is a red two or four-door 2012 Honda Civic. A photo of a similar vehicle is shown here. The vehicle has some damage to its left front area.
