Gobal real estate services company JLL has entered into an exclusive arrangement with The Innovation Space to match tenants with offerings of the organization’s multi-use lab space, offices and common areas.
The Innovation Space, formerly Delaware Innovation Space, features more than 130,000 square feet of lab suites and space for networking, meetings and collaboration. Innovation Space has housed companies that have gone on to grow and gain funding.
Located on the campus of the Experimental Station and sharing resources within the DuPont campus, the space near Wilmington supports companies specializing in areas such as clean-and-renewable technologies, life sciences and advanced materials.
“We look forward to working with JLL to connect high growth startups to the hyper-supportive resources of our incredible ecosystem, from our state-of-the-art labs to our specialized programs and services,” said Bill Provine, founder and CEO of Innovation Space. “It’s always exciting to work with entrepreneurs who bring that spark of innovation and allow us to help them to accelerate and magnify the growth of their groundbreaking discoveries into world-leading businesses.”
Since its 2017 inception, The Innovation Space has supported and enabled more than 100 startups in their growth and development. Those companies have raised more than $900 million in funding and employ hundreds of people, most in Delaware.
Innovation Space’s graduate, Prelude Therapeutics will soon move into its own space in another building nearby, making way for new startups.
“The Innovation Space offers a unique value proposition to startups seeking modern, advanced lab space ready to go on day one, along with a built-in support system to help grow and scale their business,” said Blaise Fletcher, managing director for JLL. “We are proud to represent this organization as it seeks additional new clients who will advance scientific innovation and improve our health and the environment.”
