The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) reported that with the start of the two-year-long construction project, a series of lane and ramp closures associated with preliminary construction work will occur throughout the week of May 7 through May 12.
Dates and locations (weather permitting):
Monday, May 8 & Tuesday, May 9: Overnight ramp closing, southbound I-95 to northbound Route 896 (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.). A detour will be posted.
Tuesday, May 9: Overnight lane shift/shoulder closure on-ramps from Route 896 to southbound I-95 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.). Ramps remain open to traffic.
Thursday, May 11: Daytime single left lane closure on northbound I-95 starting at the SR 896 Interchange to south of the rest area (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
