On Monday, Small Business Administration Delaware Director Michelle Harris presented Jon Talkington and Robert Walker, Jr., owners of Brimming Horn Meadery, Milton, with its inaugural annual SBA’s Delaware ‘Rural Small Business of the Year’ award.
Brimming Horn Meadery makes mead (honey wine), hard ciders, fruit wines, wines, hard lemonades, and hard gingers.
Brimming Horn is known for its events, including ‘Party Like It’s 793,’ Delaware’s only Viking re-enactment festival, and its nationwide bottle club.
Brimming Horn is expanding, opening a production facility and small tasting room in Seaford and adding a small warehouse at its Milton property. Brimming Horn benefited from an SBA COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan as well as SBA-backed Delaware SCORE and Delaware Small Business Development Center business counseling, a release stated.
