There were three winners of the Torch and one recipient of the Thrive Award, and one winner of the Rush Award. These awards recognize organizations that demonstrate a solid commitment to doing things right, not only in their companies but within their entire industry and community.

During the presentation, BBB President Christine Sauers stated, “Tonight’s honorees have demonstrated they know the importance of building and maintaining trust in their companies. These awards allow us to celebrate some accredited businesses that are role models and set a high standard for how they operate their businesses.”

The “Thrive Award for Community Impact” honors those organizations that have gone above and beyond to embrace and advance diversity.  “A community of inclusion does not exist without trust and integrity, and vice versa,” said Sauers.

The winner of the 2023 Thrive Award for Community Impact is Kimmel Carter Roman Peltz & O’Neill, the largest law firm in Delaware to handle personal injury and workers’ compensation cases exclusively. The law firm has become a fixture in the Delaware community through charitable involvement and years of successful advocacy for injured Delawareans – often speaking up for those who cannot.
