Woman charged after showing handgun at Dewey restaurant

A Dover woman was arrested after she displayed a handgun at a Dewey Beach restaurant.

At 12:46 p.m. the Dewey Beach Police was dispatched to the Lighthouse Restaurant.

Officers were told that a female brandished a firearm in a non-threatening manner and was still in the establishment. Dewey Beach Police were assisted by Rehoboth Beach officers. The officers apprehended Jenna Seeman, 30. The pistol was recovered without incident. She was found to be in possession of an unloaded Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun with a fully loaded magazine in her purse. Seeman was taken to the Dewey Beach Police Department where she was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Substance.

She was arraigned at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on a $3,500.00 unsecured bond
