DuPont de Nemours, Inc. and Rogers Corporation are waiting for an OK from Chinese regulators for their planned merger that had been scheduled to be completed in the third  quarter of this year.

The companies have received all regulatory approvals required to consummate the merger except an OK from the State Administration for Market Regulation of China.

At the request of SAMR, DuPont recently withdrew and refiled with SAMR the notice of the parties’ planned merger. The parties continue to hold discussions with SAMR.

The parties continue to seek to close the merger as soon as possible, subject to regulatory approval by SAMR and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.

As previously announced on November 2,  Arizona-based Rogers entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by DuPont for about $5 billion.

Rogers, which has operations in Castle County, would bolster DuPont’s presence in supplying materials for the electronics industry
