New Castle County Police have arrested a man in connection with charges of home improvement fraud.

Police launched an investigation earlier this year  after a 62-year-old resident of the Pierson’s Ridge Development in Hockessin said a man took money for several large landscaping projects. Several of the projects were not completed and materials were purchased  without being delivered.

Arrested earlier this month  was Alexander Woods of Dreamscape Design-Build. He was charged with one felony count of home improvement fraud and one county of felony theft. He was released on $6,000 bail.

Based on the investigation, the officers determined that Woods was conducting business in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Any individual with information regarding work performed by Woods or possible fraud  is asked to contact Officer Joseph Delaney at Joseph.Delaney@newcastlede.gov or by calling the New Castle County Division of Police non-emergency number at (302)573-2800.
