Bidens spend weekend at home near Greenville

President Joe Biden is spending the weekend in northern Delaware following a busy week that included attendance at the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II and an address before the United Nations General Assembly condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin for ordering the invasion of Ukraine,

Flight restrictions have been posted for northern Delaware beginning on Saturday and extending into Monday.

According to the White House schedule, the Bidens will fly into New Castle Airport at 10:30 a.m.

The Bidens hosted singer-songwriter Sir Elton John Friday night at a White House event.

The First Couple typically holds no public events and visits with friends and family. The President, at times, takes in a round of golf.

The Bidens did pay a visit to Sanford School near Hockessin to catch a field hockey game.

The President and First Lady generally spend every other weekend in Delaware, usually at their home near Greenville, but also at their beach house near Rehoboth.

Biden, while seeing an uptick in his popularity ratings, is still dealing with bad inflation numbers that have led the Federal Reserve to aggressively raise interest rates, increasing the chances of a recession.

Biden has been on the road of late in campaigning for Democratic candidates as the mid-term elections approach in November.
