Two Biden Administration cabinet secretaries were in Newark for a roundtable discussion on clean hydrogen technology.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh, along with Delaware’s congressional delegation and representatives from companies in Delaware, were on hand for the discussion.

Hydrogen is viewed as a way to move away from fossil fuels, especially when it comes to industrial processes like steel-making. Work is now underway to make hydrogen without the use of fossil fuels.

Funds from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act will be used in developing green hydrogen technology.

Delaware has long been a center for hydrogen development.
