Nightly I-95 Wilmington closings, rolling roadblocks coming this week

Work on the I-95 Restore the Corridor project will require several nights of rolling roadblocks and full closures beginning Monday, June 13.

Rolling roadblocks of 15-minute intervals will occur on I-95 southbound from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 13, and Tuesday, June 14, in the vicinity of the 2nd Street on-ramp. Traffic will be temporarily stopped during these hours while barrier walls are moved.

Rolling roadblocks of 15-minute intervals will occur on I-95 southbound from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, Wednesday, June 15, and Thursday, June 16. Traffic will be temporarily stopped during these hours while barrier walls are moved.

Additionally, the 2nd Street on-ramp to I-95 southbound will be closed from 9 p.m to 6 a.m. on Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18.

Motorists are encouraged to use I-495 southbound or follow the signed Blue Route detour from within the city of Wilmington to avoid delays during these times.
