\The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Delaware District Office has announced SBA’s Delaware’s 2022 Small Business Award winners. 

“As a local commemoration of the Presidentially-designated National Small Business Week – celebrated this year May 2-5, 2022 – these awards recognize the achievements of small business, as well as small business champions and lenders in Delaware,” said SBA Delaware Director Michelle Harris. “SBA’s small business award winners have truly distinguished themselves and represent the very best that the Delaware small business community has to offer.”  

SBA representatives will travel to the offices of the winning organizations this to present the award.

SBA’s 2022 Delaware Small Business Award winners are:

Small Business Person of the Year: Lisa M. St. Clair, Tailbangers, Inc., Millsboro.  Founded in 2003, Tailbangers is a dog treat bakery producing fresh, healthy dog treats from exclusively United States sourced ingredients.

Woman Owned Business of the Year: Jennifer McMillan, JennyGemsHarbeson. This home-décor-and-gift brand manufactures its products at its Harbeson, Del. facility. JennyGems products are sold at the brand’s own Harbeson, Del. gift-shop, in select boutiques, and via e-commerce both nationwide and internationally.  

Minority Owned Business of the Year: Jason and Joy Hunt, Elite Feet, Middletown. This family owned and operated retail specialty running store sells footwear and apparel for the entire family.
