This week, DART marked the opening of a Lewes transit service and seasonal beach bus service.
The new Lewes Line bus service pilot program aims to reduce traffic and parking congestion in the town.
The service is operated by the City of Lewes and will run seven days a week through September 30.

The Beach Bus service operates seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 3 a.m.
The Beach Bus provides service to Rehoboth Beach and the Boardwalk, Lewes, Long Neck, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, South Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean City, MD, Millsboro, and Georgetown.
Services is routed through Park & Ride lots. At the Lewes Transit Center at 17616 Coastal Highway and the Rehoboth Park & Ride of Coastal Highway (Route 1) at 20055 Shuttle Road, just north of the entrance to Rehoboth Avenue.
