An opening ceremony was held for the Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach on Thursday night. The event featured remarks by hotel and public officials along with a toast.
The 105-room property includes suites.for longer stays.
The hotel is located in the Five Points area new Lewes.
The hotel was developed by Harvey, Hanna and Associates and managed by TKo Hospitality.
It’s the second Hyatt property in southern Delaware for Harvey Hanna-TKo and the first Hyatt House in Delaware. Their other property is the Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach.
Hyatt House features complementary breakfast, an outdoor commons with fire pits, a store offering snacks, H Bar with beer, wine and a snack, soup and sandwich menu. Other amenities include the largest indoor hotel pool in Delaware, gym and an outdoor commons with fire pit and barbecue grill
The hotel opens after a strong summer 2021 in the Sussex County lodging market and a signs of a repeat this year.
Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach is headed by general manager, Alexandra Kennedy-Hutchinson. Director of sales is Ashlee Martinelli.
