Dewey Beach blaze hits 3 homes with damage estimated at $1 million

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire in  Dewey Beach that heavily damaged three homes.

The blaze, reported shortly after 3 am, occurred in the 1900 block of Bayard Avenue.  The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene with a house engulfed in flames.  The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company was assisted by several nearby fire companies. Deputy state fire marshals are currently on the scene investigating the blaze. No injuries were reported.  Fire damage is expected to exceed $1 million.
