New cases remained above 100, with hospitalizations at 104, according to the Thursday summary from the Delaware Division of Public Health.

DPH took note of delays in receiving test results that kept cases above 100, but added that the downward trend in new cases is continuing.

  • No new deaths reported, keeping Delaware’s total at 2,703.

The other numbers

:• 119 new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 256,207. The cumulative breakdown by county: New Castle, 145,096 cases; Kent, 49,546; Sussex, 60,615; county not yet known, 920. The peak number of cases was more than 4,000.

• 5.7% of total tests were positive in the seven-day rolling average, down six-tenths of a percent from the previous day.

.• 104 current hospitalizations, down seven from the previous day, including 9 individuals in critical condition.

• 9 new hospital admissions, down one from the previous day.

.• 3,573 tests performed daily in the seven-day average, down 24 from the previous day.

.• 656,484 people fully vaccinated.

• 1,727,842 total vaccine doses.
