The Delaware Council on Development Finance later last month endorsed four $50,000 grants for technology start-ups.
The Small Business Innovation Research grant program offers transition grants for companies that have completed Phase I and applied for Phase II of the federal Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer programs as they work to bring new products to market.
- RiKarbon, Inc. – $50,000 from the Delaware Strategic Fund Delaware Technical Innovation Program (DTIP) for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. The business is located at the University of Delaware STAR Campus, Newark. RiKarbon is researching materials that can be made from renewable sources.
- Extreme Scale Solutions, LLC – $50,000 for the Delaware Technical Innovation Program (DTIP) for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. The business is in Newark and is a software developer.
- Talos Tech LLC – The Applicant is requesting $50,000 from the Delaware Strategic Fund Delaware Technical Innovation Program (DTIP) for a Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant. The business is located in New Castle.
- ThruPore Technologies, Inc – $50,000 from the Delaware Strategic Fund Delaware Technical Innovation Program (DTIP) for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. The business in New Castle is developing a filtration system that would take out the Covid-19 virus.
