A Christmas Eve fire at the Equine Veterinarian Care building in Fair Hill, MD, west of Newark, caused $850,000 in damage.
No injuries were reported. Fifth firefighters from the Singerly Fire Co. responded to the two-alarm blaze. Firefighters were on the scene for two hours.
A passerby saw the blaze in a barn attached to the veterinary center at about 6:40 p.m.
The fire started in the interior of the veterinary center.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire.
