No new deaths from Covid-19 were reported in the Wednesday summary from the Delaware Division of Public Health, although critical cases moved past the 50 mark.

The number of deaths from Covid-19 complications remained at 2,249.

The other numbers

  • 661 new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 167,493. The cumulative breakdown by county: New Castle, 94,520 cases; Kent, 31,582, Sussex, 40,814, county not yet known, 577.
  • 40.3% of people who tested positive in the seven-day rolling average, up four-tenths of a percent from the previous day,
  • 10.7% of total tests were positive in the seven-day rolling average, down one-tenth of a percent from the previous day).
  • 392 current hospitalizations, down 17 from the previous day,, including 51 individuals in critical condition, up two from the previous day. Critical cases had fallen below 20 earlier in the year.
