A welding accident has been ruled as the cause of a fire on Thursday at Susquehanna Road Service in Rising Sun, Cecil County.
Damage was estimated at $250,000. No injuries were reported, according to the Maryland Fire Marshal’s Office.
Members of the Community Fire Company, Rising Sun, fought the blaze for an hour.
According to the Fire Marshal’s office, a car was on a lift. An employee was performing welding on the undercarriage and ignited combustibles on the vehicle.
