This week, Frontier Airlines launches two nonstop routes from Philadelphia International Airport to Portland, ME and Providence, RI.
The Frontier schedule indicates flights are available through early September.
Frontier now offers 23 nonstop routes from Philadelphia as of this summer. The airline typically offers service three or four times a week, with seasonal fights to some destinations.
Exceptions are Denver and Orlando, which have daily service.
“We’re excited to launch service from Philadelphia to Portland and Providence,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “Frontier now offers 23 nonstop Philadelphia routes this summer and we are excited to add New England to the range of destinations we offer our customers in northeast Pennsylvania.”
Frontier has retained its one route from New Castle Airport, which flies nonstop to Orlando.
“Our guests are looking for vacation destinations with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities,” said airport CEO Chellie Cameron. “Providence and Portland are perfect options and we are thrilled that Frontier chose to offer that service to PHL’s passengers.”
