Wilmington Police arrest man under investigation for fatal shootings at Elsmere and Philadelphia

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a man following an armed robbery.

CBS3 reported that Keith Gibson is now under investigation for robbery, shooting deaths at a T-Mobile in Elsmere, a Dunkin’ in Philadelphia, and shooting and critically wounding a woman in Wilmington. He is also being investigated in connection with the death of his mother.

 On June 8, at about  8:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of West 4th Street on the report of an armed robbery in progress.

Officers conducted an area canvass and located 39-year-old Keith Gibson in the 800 block of West 5th Street.
 
Gibson was taken into custody without incident, was found to be wearing a ballistic vest, and was in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition, a knife, and narcotics.

He faces multiple charges. 
 
Gibson was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court and was taken to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $305,000 cash-only bail.

Wilmington  made no further comments regarding Gibson and no one spoke on the record at the Philadelphia Police Department.
