A fire on Wednesday caused $500,000 in damage at a commercial building in North East, MD, west of Newark.
The two-alarm fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. and brought 60 firefighters to the scene. Crews spent 80 minutes in controlling the fire that was traced to a solar system on the roof.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 600 of Principo Parkway.
The Maryland Fire Marshal’s office did not identify the business, although the address is a match for Amazon’s distribution center.
No sprinklers were activated, according to a release.
