Thursday’s report from the Delaware Division of Public showed a continued  decline in new coronavirus cases.

The percentage of Delaware’s population that has received at least one dose of the vaccine is nearing 55 percent.

The New York Times reported that Delaware is within 14 days of achieving the Biden Administration’s goal of having 70% of adults vaccinated by July 4. Neighboring Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland have reached the 70% figure.

An example of the disparity in vaccination rates in Alabama and Mississippi, which at the present rate would take one year to reach the 70% figure.
