Delaware ranks near the bottom in the decline in jobless claims as the nation recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.
The ranking came from WalletHub, a financial advice website.
To identify which states’ workforces are experiencing the quickest and slowest recoveries from Covid-19, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on changes in unemployment claims for several key benchmark weeks during the pandemic.
The sluggish performance related to the decline in unemployment claims comes as employers in some industries report difficulty in finding both skilled and entry level staff.
At the same time, Delaware officials have been criticized for keeping Covid-19 restrictions in place for a long-than-needed period.
