The Delaware Division of Public Health reported a continued decline in cases and hospitalizations from Covid-19 as vaccinations progress.
The numbers
- One new death, an individual in their 80s from New Castle County, increased the total number of deaths to 1,652.
- 101 new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 107,928. The level of new cases is beginning to approach the summer low earlier in the pandemic.
- 14.1% tested positive in the seven-day rolling average, down two-tenths of a percent from the previous day.
- 3.5% of total tests were positive in the seven-day rolling average (down two-tenths of a percent from the previous day).
- 73 current hospitalizations, down 4 from the previous day), including 11 individuals in critical condition. Hospital stays have ranged from 30 to 475 during the course of the pandemic.
- 24 new hospital admissions, down 9 from the previous day.
- 354,891 Delawareans fully vaccinated (up 1,265 from the previous day).
- 849,861 total vaccine doses were administered, up 2,115 from the previous day.
