Trending: Fire damage to Shrimpy’s Pub in Rehoboth estimated at half a million dollars

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating an early Saturday morning fire that heavily damaged a Rehoboth Beach restaurant.

The blaze, reported shortly after 2 a.m., occurred at Shrimpy’s Pub on the 37000 block of Rehoboth Ave.  The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene and found flames coming out of the building.

State fire investigators are currently on the scene searching for the fire’s cause.  Damage is estimated at $500,000.  Two other units within the shopping center were also damaged. 

The cause of the  fire remains under investigation.
