Covid-19 dashboard: New cases, hospitalizations remain elevated

According to the Delaware Division of Public Health Thursday report, Delaware continues to see an elevated level of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.
 
Positive tests for Covid-19 have been rising since the middle of March, after a sharp drop after the holiday.
 
No new deaths were reported. The total number of  Covid-related deaths remained at 1,559.
 
The other numbers:
• 290  new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 94,802. 
• 22.6 percent of people who tested positive in the seven-day rolling average, up two-tenths of a percent from the previous day, with  5.2 percent of total tests positive in the seven-day rolling average, up two-tenths of a percent from the previous day. According to World Health Organization metrics, a figure of five percent denotes moderate spread, with higher figures seen as concerning.
• 133 current hospitalizations, down one from the previous day), including 16 individuals in critical condition. Hospitalizations had been moving toward the 100 before the latest uptick in 
• 30 new hospital admissions (up 9 from the previous day.
• 649 people who tested negative, bringing the total to 566,034.
• 459,535 vaccine doses administered (up 10,242 from the previous day).
 
Delaware remains at very high risk in terms of the number of new cases by the CovidAct Now dashboard.
