Bayhealth and Nemours Children’s Health System formally opened  the new Nemours Building at 101 Wellness Way, on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus, Milford.

The center expands pediatric care to families in Kent and Sussex counties.  The new three-story, medical office building is located across the street from the hospital and outpatient center.

“As a nurse and a mom I know how important it is to have the best level of care accessible to our children when they need it. The collaboration between Nemours and Bayhealth will provide access to world class healthcare for our families,” said Delaware Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, who attended and spoke at a recent ribbon cutting ceremony.

Nemours occupies 35,000 square feet on the first floor of the  new medical office building. Bayhealth-employed and private practice physicians have offices on the second and third floor.

“Our collaboration with Nemours Children’s Health System gives our southern Delaware community more convenient access to pediatric primary care and specialty physicians,” said Bayhealth President and CEO Terry Murphy. “Additionally, this medical office building offers Bayhealth the opportunity to expand our services, such as Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Cardiology, to meet the growing demand for comprehensive healthcare in southern Delaware.”

Nemours specialty care recently began seeing patients on April 1. Nemours specialty services at this new location include: audiology, behavioral health, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, immunology, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ENT), urology and weight management. Therapy and imaging services are also available.

Locating  with Nemours duPont Pediatrics is Nemours SeniorCare, Sussex Campus, which will provide dental and vision services, as well as hearing screening, for eligible Delaware residents.
