The Delaware Division of Public Health reported a plateauing of coronavirus cases and four new deaths.

Four new deaths were reported as of Sunday night, including three from a Vital Statistics records review from February and January. Of those who died, three individuals were from Kent County, and one and one were from Sussex County. Those who died ranged in age from their 70s to their 90s, and one was a resident of a long-term care facility. The deaths increased Delaware’s total number of Covid-related deaths to 1,511.

The other numbers:
• 228 new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 90,614. After a decline in the average number of cases from 700 or more, the number has remained above 200, despite a decline in new cases in the University of Delaware community.  Public health officials would like to see 100 or fewer cases.
• 16 percent of people who tested positive in the seven-day rolling average (no change from the previous day) and 3.7 percent of total tests were positive in the seven-day rolling average (up one-tenth of a percent from the previous day). The total test measurement takes into account those who have been tested more than once
• 95 current hospitalizations (down five from the previous day), including 14 individuals in critical condition. Hospitalizations have dropped from more than 450 during the winter surge of the virus.
• 11 new hospital admissions (down 10 from the previous day).
• 324,111 total vaccine doses administered (up 4,524 from the previous day).
