DMV brings back Wednesday night hours


The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles is bringing back Wednesday night hours, beginning on Jan. 13. The schedule had been suspended, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Effective on Wednesdays only, the operating hours of the DMV will be 11 7 p.m. It’a a change from the previous Wednesday extended hours of noon. through 8 p.m.

DMV locations have been seeing growing traffic levels. The agency had been flexible in not levying late charges on late vehicle registrations

To enter the DMV, all visitors are required to wear a face mask or covering, take a health screening, and socially distance when feasible. The reduced building capacity figure of 30 percent is still in effect.
