Good afternoon,

As a certain ex-president once said, Covid, Covid, Covid, Covid, dominated the list of most read January stores on the Delaware Business Now website.

None of this is a surprise as Delaware launched a Covid-19 vaccination program. The effort  got off to a slow start but as of today, only 17,000 doses are available, with upwards of 9 percent of the population getting at least one shot or jab as they say in the UK.

Delaware has been getting between 15,000 and 20,000 doses a week. It is hoped that number increases sharply.

The program faces formidable barriers that include two different vaccines that require two doses.

Delaware also reached the sad milestone of 1,000 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

Also on the top 20 list was a story on President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration and his reaction to the storming of the capital, the weekend storm and Shoprites in northern Delaware getting out of the pharmacy business.
