ChristianaCare issued the following statement after Gov. John Carney announced Phase 1B of Covid-19 vaccinations.

On Wednesday morning, the  Delaware Division of Public Health launched a vaccine  registration website for Delawareans over the age of 65.

“Christiana Care has administered nearly 12,0000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the past 30 days as part of Phase 1A of Delaware’s Covid-19 vaccination plan. With Delaware’s transition to Phase 1B, ChristianaCare anticipates scheduling appointments for those who express interest and meet the state’s criteria for vaccination eligibility, based on our available supply. As plans are finalized, we will publish new information on christianacare.org. While we are excited to provide vaccines to our community, we strongly encourage our neighbors to mask up, practice safe social distancing and avoid large crowds so we can reduce the spread of Covid-19.”

ChristianaCare is the state’s. largest hospital system and operates primary care practices that according to the above statement are expected to offer vaccinations, depending on the availability of vaccine.

Earlier this week, Lewes-based Beebe Healthcare announced its primary care practice will offer vaccinations for people over 80 years old.
