Delaware ranks 29th among the 50 states in charitable activity, according to a report from the WalletHub financial site.
Neighboring Maryland and Pennsylvania ranked higher at three and six. New Jersey ranked 27th. No. 1 was Utah, with Arizona in the bottom spot. Delaware’s high ranking on volunteerism was brought down by a lackluster pattern of donations.
The state’s small population was not a factor, with North Dakota, Alaska and Wyoming ranking in the top 10.
