ARS Truck and Fleet Service  has relocated partner business Delaware Truck Refinishers  to an expanded facility off Route 9 in the New Castle area.

This move comes after the merger between the two companies. The partnership enables the company to offer additional services in body repair, detailing, and paint as well as fleet management, truck and vehicle repair, trailer repair, body shop, and mobile services.

The new Truck Refinishers facility has 40,000 square feet of  work area and can accommodate large commercial vehicles and trailers. ARS is  located nearby for mobile repair, light-duty and heavy-duty work, and fabrication.

Owner and President Patrick Connell stated in a release: “We made the important decision to merge ARS Truck and Fleet Service with Delaware Truck Refinishers to increase our offerings as a full-service commercial truck service leader. The new partnership has given us the resources to better serve our customers.”

Delaware Truck Refinishers provides body and collision repair, frame repair, refinishing, branding and painting as well as fabrication. Vehicles include service vehicles,  RVs, fire trucks, ambulances, box trucks, buses, and tractor-trailers.

A company release notes that more people are buying RVs.  DTR can consult on the customization of camper vans, airstreams, RV spaces, and tour buses to accommodate families and “road offices.” The company is also also equipped to manage RV maintenance, repair, and warranty work, the release stated.

DTR is managed by Robert Daugherty, service manager, and Lisa Krauss, office manager.

The service area of the combined companies includes northern and central Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northeastern Maryland.
