Calagione named to Boston Beer Board
The Boston Beer Company, Inc. announced that Samuel A. Calagione, III has been appointed to their Board of Directors, effective October 7, 2020.
Calagione is founder and brewer of Dogfish Head Brewery. He served as CEO until the merger with Boston Beer in July 2019. He is also a stockholder in Boston Beer.
He has earned a James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional and a reputation as one of the country’s most adventurous brewers; he has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, People, Forbes, Bon Appetit, and many other magazines and newspapers. He is also the author of two books: Brewing Up a Business (2011) and Off-Centered Leadership (2016).
Marchak joins Lyons Companies
Lyons Companies welcomed Chris Marchak as its newest Risk Management Advisor. Marchak has over 20 years of experience in business development, sales strategy, negotiation and building strategic partnerships. He joins Lyons Companies from the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce where he spent 11 years in membership development, leading the organization’s recruitment, onboarding and retention efforts. He advocated for business with legislators on local, state and federal levels to protect their interests and foster economic growth.

Andrew will step down as DEC’s Chief Executive Officer The Cooperative’s Board of Directors will establish a thorough process to select a new President and CEO – the Co-op’s new leader is expected to be announced in the spring of 2021.
Gulftainer names CEO
Gulftainer, the manager of the Port of Wilmington and a subsidiary of Crescent Enterprises, has announced the appointment of Charles Menkhorst as its new CEO.
Former CEO Peter Richards will continue to serve on Gulftainer’s Board of Directors and lead the expansion of the company’s footprint in the United States as CEO of GT USA. GTA operates ports in Delaware and Florida.
Menkhorst has served in several key roles for international conglomerates DHL Worldwide Express and APM Terminals. His previous role was Group CEO at Luxemburg-based ports infrastructure group Euroports.
Restaurant association president to serve on foundation board
Delaware Restaurant Association CEO Carrie Leishman has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), beginning in January 2021.
Santora Group announces promotions
Santora CPA Group announced that Paul Specht, CPA has been promoted to Senior Accountant.
