2 arrested in connection with thefts from Delmar construction site

Delaware State Police arrested 35-year-old Timothy Santee of Laurel and 37-year-old Jesse Nichols of Seaford on felony theft and related charges following an investigation of theft from a construction site.

On September 18, Delaware State Police began investigating a series of theft incidents in the Country Grove Development, Delmar.

The investigation revealed the unknown suspects removed a large amount of construction material from homes under construction. Troopers were able to identify Santee and Nichols as suspects. 

On Sept. 26 troopers attempted to stop a  pickup truck occupied by Nichols and Santee on Arvey Road, Delmar.

Nichols, identified as the vehicle drivers, failed to stop for troopers, and a brief vehicle pursuit ensued. Once Nichols stopped the vehicle, he fled on foot and was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Santee was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Santee and Nichols were transported to Troop 5, where they were charged with multiple offenses.)

Santee was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #3 and issued a $3,003.00 unsecured bond. Nichols was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #3 and issued a $5,206.00 unsecured bond.
