Former Vice President and U.S. Senator from Delaware Joe Biden will give his acceptance speech at the Chase Center on the Riverfront as the virtual Democratic National Convention enters its final night.

The evening will include remarks by U.S. Sen. Chris Coons and a tribute to the late Beau Biden,  Delaware Attorney General, and son of Joe and Jill Biden.

In a preview of the brutal  campaign to come, Biden opponents came to Wilmington, with trucks carrying a “creepy Joe” message.

The largely virtual event at the Chase Center will feature a large screen that will allow dignitaries to view Biden’s acceptance speech, along with the possibility that the former Vice President will leave the center to greet the motorists.

The convention had been scheduled for Milwaukee, but moved to a largely virtual format, with Biden and his pick for vice president, U.S.  Sen. Kamala Harris speaking from Wilmington.
