Rehoboth Beach commissioners approved offering free parking on Monday evenings to in an effort to bring local visitors into town.
At their meeting on July 21, commissioners agreed parking will be free on Monday evenings starting July 27 through August 31.
The goal for Meterless Mondays is to help local businesses struggling with lost revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic, a release from the city stated.
The exact time for parking has yet to be decided.
Rehoboth often has more than adequate parking after beach visitors leave for the day.
