U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Madelyn Burns, an aeromedical evacuation technician with the Delaware Air National Guard’s 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, oversees the collection of saliva specimens at a walk-up testing site for Covid-19 on the grounds of The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach.
A dozen soldiers and airmen of the National Guard supported the saliva-based testing of about 1,355 people at the restaurant location. The beach areas have seen an outbreak of the virus.
