U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Madelyn Burns, an aeromedical evacuation technician with the Delaware Air National Guard’s 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, oversees the collection of saliva specimens at a walk-up testing site for Covid-19  on the grounds of The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach.

A dozen soldiers and airmen of the National Guard supported the saliva-based testing of about 1,355 people at the restaurant location. The beach areas have seen an outbreak of the virus. Testing at The Starboard focused on restaurant workers in the Dewey area. Testing also took place in Rehoboth Beach. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Capt. Brendan Mackie)
