Delaware-based Solenis acquires chemical company based in Mexico

North Wilmington-ased Solenis LLC  completed the acquisition of all outstanding shares of Poliquímicos, S.A. de C.V. 

Headquartered in Mexico City, Poliquímicos is a producer and supplier of specialized chemicals for water-intensive industries, including the pulp and paper markets in Mexico. The business will be integrated into Solenis.

Solenis was formed with the sale of assets of Ashland, Inc., which had earlier acquired Hercules Incorporated and its water-intensive chemical businesses. The private equity-funded company has gone on to acquire other chemical companies.
